This has been known ever since Win10 came with the update to Defender that required us to compile large portions of the catalog to overcome the terrible slowness. When testing in QCC, this compile does not occur; the compile is part of the publish process. This means catalog editors using Win10 need to install BitDefender or ESET (only A/Vs I know of that work so far) and disable Defender if they want to see better performance in the Test tab of QCC.
